I was asleep when they arrived. I woke up feeling really peaceful. Apart from the fact there were all these whey-faced little creatures gathered around my bed with pointy, swirly tufts on top of their head. It was almost ridiculous, not frightening. They’d have made great cartoons.
So, there I was, in my own bedroom surrounded by aliens. I think I knew they were aliens from the moment I came round. They were obviously discussing something, gesticulating and communicating. It wasn’t like in the films though. For one thing they didn’t speak with American accents, and it wasn’t like in Independence Day where you could hack into their exchanges using only a laptop and a few Microsoft products.
Anyway, they took me up to their craft…I was sort of bathed in this warm glow of light. It was like toffee cream. It felt really gentle on my skin and then wooooomph, I was suctioned up into their spaceship. It was very dark on the spaceship, but in quite a homely way.
